Who should attend this course and why?
The Global Wind Organisation (GWO) is an association of Wind Turbine owners and manufacturers with the aim of supporting an injury-free work environment in the wind industry. An objective of GWO is to develop common industry training and best practice Standards for health and safety as a vital and necessary way forward to reduce risks for personnel in the wind industry working on site and to reducing environmental risks across Europe and the globe.
This Standard has been developed in response to the demand for recognisable Basic Technical Training in the industry, and has been prepared in co-operation between the members of GWO based on risk assessments and factual incident and accident statistics pertaining to the installation, service and maintenance of wind turbine generators and wind power plants.
Course Overview
The Basic Technical Training Standard consists of 3 separate modules which when delivered concurrently, the material for all tree modules can be covered in a 4 day course. The elements are:

Successful delegates will receive the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) Basic Technical Training certificate.

The course should be attended by candidates that would like to work with Wind Turbines. No prior knowledge is required.
Candidates should possess a reasonable command of written and spoken English.
