Level 3 0610 Certificate in Process Technology
The units of this qualification can contribute towards the knowledge and understanding required for the related NVQ while not requiring or proving evidence of occupational competence.

To provide course delegates with the skills and knowledge necessary to gain the Level 3 qualification for career progression within the Process Technology Industry.
To award the certificate, candidates must successfully complete the assessments for the two core units, two mandatory units and four optional units as listed below.
- Core Unit – Mathematics for Process Industries
- Core Unit – Communications & IT in Process Industries
- Mandatory – Process Chemistry in Process Industries (double award)
- Mandatory – Heat Transfer and Fluid Flow in Process Industries (double award)
- Optional Unit – Distillation in Process Industries
- Optional Unit – Principles of Compressors and Compression Technology
- Optional Unit – Evaporation in Process Industries
- Optional Unit – Water for Process Industry
(Total cost of the course is £1,840 + VAT. In addition, we also offer pay per module at £240 + VAT which must be paid in advance).
You will learn in a classroom environment.
You are required to undertake a written exam at the end of each unit. It is imperative that you are available to attend on your exam date. In circumstances where you are not available to attend, we can re-arrange the exam but please be aware that additional fees will apply.
If you fail to meet the required criteria, you will be required to resit the examination. Any resit / resubmission fees are in addition to the course price.

Successful candidates will receive a City & Guilds qualification.
The Level 3 qualification is aimed at candidates who are working in process technology and have a great deal of technical skills and knowledge. Ideally you will work with minimum supervision and have a good record of safety, fault correct and ensuring work meets the required standard. The course should be attended by individuals from the Process Industry looking to up-skill, and as a progression route from the City & Guilds 0610 Level 2 Qualification. You may be looking to attend this course to help with career progression in one of the following roles: Chemical Engineering Technician Chemical Plant Process Worker Engineering Maintenance Technician Oil and Gas Industry Technician Polymer Technician Pharmaceutical Technician
Although City & Guilds do not have set entry requirements for this qualification, it is recommended that the course delegate has previously achieved the 0610 Level 2 Qualification in Process Technology or have a minimum of GCSE Grades B or above in Maths, English and Science. The recommended guided learning hours for this course are 10 hours of home study per week as a minimum.
