The CCNSG National Course is a one day course to refresh the candidate on basic site safety.

To raise awareness of individual responsibilities for health, safety, welfare and environmental issues towards themselves, their colleagues and others in the workplace.

Assessment Method

Classroom based delivery with multi-choice question papers to be completed after each session. A minimum pass mark of 80% is required per session.

Course Information


Successful delegates will be issued with a temporary card at the end of the training course. The official Safety Passport will be sent directly from ECITB to the candidate and will be valid for 3 years from date of course.

Who is it for

The renewal course is designed for all personnel who are in possession of a valid safety passport. The course will bring the candidate up to date with new legislation. The CCNSG Safety Passport is often a pre-requisite for working on site in industries such as oil, gas, chemical, manufacturing, nuclear and energy sectors. The aim of the scheme is to ensure a basic knowledge of health and safety for all site personnel to enable them, after appropriate site induction, to work on site more safely with lower risk to themselves and others.


The candidate will possess a valid CCNSG Safety Passport which is due to expire (within 3 months). If the Passport has expired, ECITB will allow up to 3 months from date of expiry for the renewal course to be attended. The candidate must bring to the course: 2 passport photographs National Insurance Number/Passport Existing valid Safety Passport
