Cabinet Minister praises ‘excellence in training’ on visit to TTE

Minister for the Cabinet Office, David Lidington, has praised the work of TTE during a recent tour of the facility.

The Aylesbury MP, who advises Prime Minister Theresa May on Government policy, was keen to learn more about TTE’s bespoke training programmes during a visit to the North East.

Mr Liddington, who has a background in industry, having previously worked for BP and Rio Tinto, said: “What I’ve seen here at TTE is a real textbook example of excellence in training, and one I hope can be copied elsewhere.

“Young people need to have the skills to compete for high-skilled, high-reward work.  What I’ve seen here is an enterprise that provides our young people with the best start possible to their working lives.”

Steve Grant, Managing Director of TTE, said that the Minister enjoyed the tour and was genuinely interested in the training initiatives.

“It is really important that politicians and Ministers come here to see for themselves the amount of high quality training we deliver.”
