Financial Support

How we can support your studies

Don’t let any potential cost of study put you off joining TTE, we provide full-time students a comprehensive financial support service to support you during your studies.

There is lots of support available at TTE to help you get funding and save money whilst studying with us. There are a range of funds available to support learners who need it most so if you think you might struggle to cover the cost of coming to college don’t worry – we are here to help.

Financial Support On Offer

16-18 year olds

Learners aged between 16-18 years will not be required to pay for their studies.

Bursary

Certain students may be able to claim a bursary of £350 per year. These are means tested and subject to status. Bursaries are linked to attendance, performance & behaviour.

Free meals

If you are currently receiving free school meals at school, this will continue at TTE.

Additional costs

You may be able to receive help with equipment, uniform and/or kit costs & mandatory residentials depending on your personal circumstances. Certain categories of full-time students can apply for additional help from the social security system

Parents

Care to Learn provides financial support to parents under the age of 20 with the costs of childcare to ensure they are able to continue in education. Some young parents will also be eligible for Universal Credit, in which case they are entitled to a £1,200 Bursary.

FREE Travel

All full-time students can access free bus travel to and from TTE and reimbursed rail travel.

Apply for Financial Support

New students to TTE will be able to apply for Financial Support during their in-person enrolment appointment.

Please note: Please only complete the forms if you are studying on a full time course up-to Level 3 only (this does not include Apprenticeships).
Funding for Level 4 courses and higher must be applied for through Student Finance England.
